Nature: We can supply vinylpyrrolidone and vinyl acetate in various ratios as powders, ethanol solutions, 2-propanol solutions, and aqueous solutions. Solutions of the PVP/VA series products in water range from clear to turbid, with the degree of turbidity depending on the proportions of vinylpyrrolidone and vinyl acetate. These solutions exhibit a slightly acidic reaction but are non-electrolytic.
Purpose:A key ingredient in cosmetics, used in hairsprays, mousses, shampoos, and other products, as well as in surfactants
The PVPP/VA series acts as both a stiffening agent and a film-forming agent. Formulations with a higher vinyl acetate content have lower moisture absorption and are ideal for mousses, hair sprays, and hair setting lotions. When blended with PVP-K30, they enhance the hair-setting effect.
Other Industrial Applications
1. Can be used in re-wetting adhesives and paper adhesives.
2. It can be used as a thickening agent and protective colloid in various inks.
3. The water-soluble PVP/VA64 series of products are also commonly used emulsifiers and protective colloids in plant protection agents.
4. Can be used as an adhesive in coatings.
