Can drivers stay in the cab and use their cell phones while loading and unloading?
In accordance with regulations, drivers in certain areas of the facility are required to exit their vehicles and proceed to designated waiting areas; smoking and cell phone use are prohibited near loading and unloading docks, and drivers must be supervised at all times.
Warehousing, Loading and Unloading
Non-essential personnel are prohibited from lingering in the tank farm for extended periods; patrols should move through the area quickly, checking liquid levels, pressure, and for any leaks.
Where can I find the SDS (Safety Data Sheet)?
Paper copies are available in each workstation and warehouse; electronic versions can be accessed in the company’s archive and internal systems. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the hazards before handling or using the product.
Can different chemicals be stored together or disposed of together?
No. Materials must be stored in separate zones in accordance with the SDS and hazardous chemical compatibility requirements. Acids, bases, oxidizing agents, reducing agents, and flammable materials must never be stored together to prevent reactions that could cause fires, explosions, or the release of toxic gases.
